Angell Surveys Receives EVLOS Authorisations from the UK Civil Aviation Authority

We are pleased to announce that the UK CAA have awarded us with Extended Visual Line of Sight (EVLOS) authorisations for both our fixed wing and multi-rotor UAV’s along with exemptions for congested areas. This increases our fixed wing capabilities out to 1500m – useful as we have 90 minute endurance per flight with our Sensefly drones.

Inspection operations have also been upgraded as the exemption allows us to work more efficiently in congested urban environments with our multi rotor fleet. We are one of the first companies in the UK to have an EVLOS exemption for the WingtraVTOL survey drone. We started using Wingtra mid 2018 and have acquired some incredible data so far.
