Drone, LiDAR and land survey services UK.
Built for infrastructure.
Geospatial survey, LiDAR scanning, structural inspection and BIM modelling — delivered to engineering quality for infrastructure, utilities, nuclear, rail and built environment clients across the UK.
Sixteen survey disciplines. One RICS-regulated team.
Angell Surveys is a RICS-regulated survey practice delivering four disciplines across the UK: aerial and drone survey by photogrammetry and LiDAR; land and building measurement, covering topographic, measured building and PAS 128 utility surveys; inspection by aerial and confined-space UAV; and 3D modelling, from point cloud and reality capture to scan to BIM. Every deliverable ships with an accuracy statement referenced to the RICS measured survey bands.
Topographic Survey
Measured land survey to engineering tolerance — levels, contours, boundaries and features captured to OSGB36 and delivered as CAD, DTM and BIM-ready outputs. RICS-regulated, UK-wide.
PAS 128 Utility Survey
Buried services detection and mapping to the British Standards PAS 128 specification. GPR + EML + sonde tracing combined with statutory records reconciliation. Quality Level recorded on every utility.
Thermal Imaging Survey
Radiometric thermography across building envelope, solar PV and M&E assets — UAV and ground-based capture interpreted by ITC Category 2-certified thermographers under documented environmental conditions.
Drone Pipeline Inspection
UAV visual and thermal inspection of water, gas, oil, drainage, district heating and industrial pipelines — surface, elevated and along buried corridors — with confined-space internal capability.
Mining & Quarry Survey
Stockpile and extraction volumetrics, working face progress monitoring and haul road condition capture across UK quarries, opencast and mineral extraction sites. Underground confined-space capability.
Quarry Audit & Verification
Expert Advice. Independent RICS-regulated verification of quarry operator stockpile and extraction volumes for external auditors — year-end inventory assertions for publicly-listed aggregates, minerals and stone groups.
BNG Baseline Survey
RICS-regulated aerial survey input for Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) baseline assessments — UAV LiDAR canopy heights, multispectral orthomosaics and habitat polygon base mapping for ecology consultants and BNG developers.
Aerial Survey
Survey-controlled UAV photogrammetry delivering orthomosaics, DSM/DTM, contours and volumetric analysis. OSGB36 georeferenced to sub-5cm absolute accuracy.
Drone & Aerial LiDAR Survey
Fixed-wing and multirotor UAV LiDAR producing classified point clouds and bare-earth terrain models through vegetation. Corridors, reservoirs, earthworks and catchments to RICS Band C to E.
Photogrammetry
UAV photogrammetric capture across infrastructure, solar farms, earthworks and brownfield — documented GCP control with RICS Band D/E accuracy (±10–25 mm at 1σ) on hard detail.
Point Cloud & 3D Laser Scanning
Terrestrial laser scanning and dense 3D point cloud capture of buildings, structures and plant: E57, LAS, LAZ and RCP delivery for CAD, BIM, deformation monitoring and digital twins.
Reality Capture & 3D Modelling
Photogrammetric 3D models and cloud-hosted digital twins. Fully measurable, shareable with any stakeholder and integrated with point cloud data for asset lifecycle management.
Aerial & Structure Inspection
UAV and ground-based camera rig inspection of bridges, viaducts, retaining walls and facades. Close-range, high-resolution defect mapping without scaffold or rope access.
Confined Space & Remote Inspection
Collision-tolerant indoor UAV inspection of tanks, vessels, boilers, chimneys, silos and inaccessible voids. Full internal coverage in GPS-denied, unlit environments — zero manned entry. RAMS-backed for all environments including nuclear.
Measured Building Survey
RICS-standard floor plans, sections, elevations and roof surveys to ±5mm accuracy. Point cloud capture of existing buildings for planning, refurbishment, heritage and BIM delivery.
Revit Modelling
Scan-to-BIM Revit models from point cloud and measured survey data. Delivered to LOD 2–4 for architectural, structural and M&E disciplines — federated and IFC-ready for any project environment.
